Parker’s first birthday request is one of my favorite parties I have designed. Why? Because she is my niece! She’s a spunky little girl that is full of personality but very sweet indeed. What’s that saying? “Girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice”! I love her dearly and wanted to create something as wonderful as her.

I was ecstatic to get the freedom to create whatever I wanted on this one. I love when clients are willing to trust me fully to create something unique and beautiful. My process is to first create a custom color scheme and sketch some ideas from that. The first thing on my mind with Parker was getting her a little tent where she can crawl comfortable and relax. Alas, the theme was born! I believe having a theme for any event is crucial. You don’t even have to have something bold or out of the box, but having a theme helps you convey your ideas and bring them to light. Even if it’s just based on a color. I wanted to keep the colors light and airy and good enough for a baby so I incorporated light pinks, blues, caramels and golds and aqua to give it a little pop. Perfect combination for the occasion and the birthday girl. I was so happy for the beautiful photographs that Elevate Photography provided as they are keepsakes for a lifetime to come and Parker was happy as ever!
