Last September, nestled in the heart of Beaver Creek, Colorado, I had the privilege of planning and designing one of my favorite weddings to date at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. With 150 guests gathered beneath the soaring mountain peaks and the crisp early fall air, this celebration was the perfect blend of natural beauty and refined modern mountain elegance. From the moment guests stepped into the ballroom, they were transported into a reimagined space. We softened the room with full perimeter draping, leaving the wall of windows untouched so the natural lighting and scenery can still be a part of the story. Above the dance floor, our great friends at The Wandering Poppy designed a breathtaking “S” shaped hanging greenery installation which anchored the space beautifully. It’s organic movement and sculptural presence helped draw the eye down from the soaring ceilings, making the expansive ballroom feel more intimate and inviting. One of my favorite elements of this wedding was the cohesive greenery motif woven throughout the design. We carried the botanical illustration from their invitations into every detail of the day including the menus, bar signs, seating chart, and even the linens! Seeing the consistent, intentional design appear from the moment guests opened their invitations to the moment they found their seats created such a beautiful sense of continuity. It tied the entire design together and made the celebration feel thoughtfully curated from start to finish! Working alongside the bride and her mom was one the the highlights of this wedding! I am so thankful for the trust they gave us in planning and designing such a meaningful day!
